INTRODUCING FARM FLEX
Community Supported Agriculture - On your schedule!
We invite you to try out a CSA membership at The Wheeler Farm customized to fit your family needs.
We look forward to sharing fresh produce and new ways of enjoying healthy, nutritious foods with you.
What is a CSA?
A CSA, or Community Supported Agriculture has become a popular way for consumer to buy local, seasonal food directly from the farmer. In this mutual partnership, the farmer offers “shares” of produce for the consumer to purchase eliminating the middle man. It is known as a "subscription" for fresh produce.
How does our FARM FLEX CSA work?
Farm Flex customers pre-purchase 10 weeks of produce from our 20 week season and have the flexibility to receive harvest or freeze it from week to week. You select them, we track your remaining weeks for you!
Are you planning on vacationing frequently or afraid of not using your produce from week to week? This is a perfect option for you to support local farmers around your busy schedule!
Don't need an order this week? Simply don't visit the farmstand or don't submit a virtual farmstand request.
Ready for a harvest order? Simply visit the farmstand or select your produce on the virtual farmstand and resume delivery.
What types of shares do you offer?
Fresh Select: Pick your own produce from our Farm Stand (OR virtual farm stand for Farm-to-Door service.) Shares will include 8-10 produce items.
Farm-to-Door: In 2019, we will deliver to:
Howard County (All areas)
Frederick County (New Market, Mount Airy, Ijamsville, Urbana, Spring Ridge, Monrovia, Lake Linganore)
